What data does Expresso Shipping Automation access?

The app requests these Shopify permissions:

  • read_products - To scan your product catalog
  • read_inventory - To check variant details
  • write_shipping - To move products between shipping profiles

What data do we store?

We store:

  • Your shipping rules (conditions and target profiles)
  • Audit history (which products were moved and why)
  • Basic store info (shop domain for authentication)

We do NOT store:

  • Customer data
  • Order data
  • Payment information
  • Product images (we display them, don't store them)

Data Location

All data is stored securely on Neon (PostgreSQL) servers in the United States.

Uninstalling

When you uninstall the app:

  • Your shipping rules are deleted
  • Your audit history is deleted
  • Your store record is deleted

Products remain in whatever shipping profile they're currently in - we don't modify anything on uninstall.

GDPR Compliance

We handle all Shopify compliance webhooks:

  • Customer data request - We don't store customer data
  • Customer data deletion - We don't store customer data
  • Shop data deletion - All shop data is deleted on uninstall
